Sorong

Morning welcome at Sorong airport and transfer to the port of Sorong. We wish you a warm welcome to the enchanting archipelago of Raja Ampat. You will be taken care of by your French-speaking guide, who will assist you with your transfer to Sorong port.

In the morning, you will board a ferry for a picturesque two-hour crossing from Sorong to Waisai. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the turquoise waters and lush islands during this serene journey.

Once you arrive in Waisai, you will be taken to your homestay, a carefully selected accommodation where you can experience local hospitality while relaxing by the sea. It’s the perfect opportunity to soak in the tranquil atmosphere of this idyllic setting and prepare for the adventures that await you in this preserved natural paradise.

From the early morning, you will board a speedboat, ready to explore the wonders of the Mayalibit Strait and its surroundings. Today, embark on a speedboat adventure through the stunning bay. The most renowned strait of West Papua is a narrow water passage that separates the islands of Gam and Waigo, flanked by impressive limestone cliffs and offering exceptional marine biodiversity, perfect for snorkeling.

Admire breathtaking panoramas while enjoying the powerful currents and lush mangroves. Take a break on an isolated pier, then discover a hidden bay accessible by a narrow canal amidst coral reefs, home to small sharks. Explore a labyrinth of islands and a cave inhabited by bats.

End the day with a possible stop at Pef to admire rock paintings, before concluding at Alyui Bay, where the wild beauty of the place will amaze you.

At the end of the day, you will be taken to a secret beach, nestled in the midst of the most majestic lagoon. The serenity and beauty of the landscape invite you to an enchanting bivouac by the water, where you can spend a starry night, lulled by the gentle sound of the waves.
